Since the beginning of time, every culture has had music— and every culture has made it by blowing air through a tube, by banging on things, and by vocalizing.

Just Breathe is a special creative project by flutist Catherine Gregory that explores the essential in both music and in life.

Together with two acclaimed collaborators— percussionist Ian Rosenbaum and soprano Ariadne Greif — she presents a program of newly commissioned miniatures based on the inspiration of ‘breath,’ the essential life-force, all incorporating the world’s three ‘essential’ instruments— flute, percussion, and voice.

The composers include Clarice Assad, Viet Chong, Timo Andres, Matthew Evan Taylor, and more.
